A little bit of everything, but nothing new? A tasty treat for those wanting something new to refresh their palate but a hint of the old? The iPad is among us and it has Apple fanboys and band-wagoners all aboard the AAPL stock trade like it was 1929. And that means it’s good and bad reviews on both sides. All metaphors aside, this seems to be a great device for daily web and email use and also for those photo/video viewers out there. No need to get off the couch or bed to use this techno-puppy. Is this something that you can live without? Most likely yes, if you have an iPhone/iPod Touch or netbook/laptop already. The iPad downfall could be the fact that it has no input ports such as USB 2.0. This is strictly a device to download apps and use for iWork and also the aforementioned features, if they interest you. Since this is an Apple product, it’s almost certain that this will be a hit regardless of it’s lack of features and inabilities. There’s a lot of talk, and for good reason, amongst the tech crowd about wanting to wait for version 2.0 to come out; which could possibly boast new hardware such as a front facing video cam or input ports. If you simply cannot wait for the next version to come out and you need this device to perform daily tasks that your devices, or lack thereof, cannot currently perform than by all means snatch one up on launch day and enjoy the wonderment that is the over-sized iPhone and it’s sleek OS. I myself will most likely not be purchasing one until (if at all) there are some new innovations dumped into this bad boy. Thoughts? Questions? Feel free to have at it!
